Dr. Katie Cordell has been part of the Dynamic Therapy Specialists family for more than a decade, with a journey at DTS that has taken her from student clinician to audiologist and, most recently, Clinical Manager. She earned her undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge in 2008 and her Doctorate of Audiology from LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans in 2016.

Throughout her career, Katie has played an integral role in developing and expanding DTS’s auditory processing program. Her clinical expertise centers on evaluating and managing auditory processing disorders, with additional specialty training in reflex integration and developmental approaches that support brain-body organization and the integration of auditory skills within whole-brain development. She continues to provide comprehensive auditory processing evaluations and enjoys helping families better understand how a child processes auditory information and how those underlying skills impact learning, communication, and everyday function.

Katie holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed to practice audiology in Louisiana through the Louisiana Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (LBESPA).

In 2023, Katie was promoted to Clinical Manager, expanding her impact at DTS beyond her work as an audiologist. In this role, she helps develop and support the clinical team, strengthen clinical programs and systems, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations across the clinic. She is especially passionate about creating an environment where clinicians feel supported, are challenged to continue growing, and have the tools they need to provide above-and-beyond care to every family DTS serves.

After growing alongside DTS for so many years, Katie says her favorite part of the organization is its culture—particularly the belief that exceptional care for families begins with exceptional care for the people providing it. She loves being part of creating a workplace where clinicians can thrive and genuinely love what they do, and seeing how that investment in the DTS team translates into meaningful, compassionate care for the families DTS is privileged to serve.

Outside of DTS, Katie enjoys spending time with friends and family, especially her husband, David, and son, Alex. When she’s not at work, you can usually find her at the baseball field cheering on Alex, curled up with a good book, playing mahjong with friends, or working on her latest puzzle.
